It would seem I have a natural aversion to getting my head below my body for a handstand pushup -- even using a wall. I workout in my apartment, so spotters aren't a possibility. Got any tips?

On the alt workouts, he's saying multiply the rep count times 3 seconds. So in the L1 example here, I believe it would be holding 45 seconds per round.

Definitely integrate. And try to find an animation or video for each exercise. They're so much easier to use than verbal descriptions or stills.

lol. Better add "If cramping and about to drown, put your feet down" to the FAQ.

Best way to begin swimming?

I'm going out of town this weekend and will have free access to a health club. I've never swum for fitness before, and really want to give it a shot. I know swimming has come up a few times, so hopefully someone's got pointers for a beginner. That is, I'm too lazy to do my own research ;) So, what's...

Trader Joe's

I strongly recommend Trader Joe's for groceries, if there's one near you. Just went last night for the first time, and they've got everything listed on the nutrition plan. Prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of food. Expect to go pretty frequently, as their produce is divided into sm...

Then the key is getting in the habit of preparing meals the night before. Maybe cooking for an entire week and refrigerating, too. Sorry if this was obvious to most people. I'm trying to redeem my lazy bachelor, leftover pizza-dependent ways :)

IF at work. Any tips?

Tomorrow will be my first major grocery day since starting simplefit, so I'm trying to plan for the weeks ahead. I was just wondering how everyone else is managing IF during the workday. Right now, my window is 12-6, but I want to shift it to 10-4, so I don't have to worry about overtime or long com...

18 hours fasting means a 6-hour window, as mentioned elsewhere on the forum. Got it. The 8-hour window on the nutrition page was throwing me. Guess it's a bit harder than it looks ;)

You're really on top of replying to these things! Start simple, got it. I'm used to running ~20min every other day too, but it seems smart to put that on hold until I get a feel for the new routine. I'm really excited to see what a difference a stopwatch makes. Thanks again for your help! I'll be su...

More exercises = more time?

Hello everyone. This is mostly a question for the admin, but maybe someone else is in a similar situation. I've already got about a 4-week headstart with body-weight training, but want to adapt to simplefit for more variety (and hopefully better results). Here's what I was doing before: Sat, Mon, We...
